What are the dangers of having a chain saw spark plug gap that is too large or too small?

1. The gap is too large (more than 0.8mm)
The load on the ignition high-pressure package increased sharply, the spark was weak, and it was difficult to start the cold engine. It took multiple pulls to catch fire.
It is easy to cut off the flame during high-speed cutting. The chain saw stalls midway, loses power, and becomes dull when accelerating.
High-voltage packages and high-voltage lines are overloaded for a long time, which can easily cause breakdown and leakage, shortening the life of ignition accessories.
Insufficient fuel combustion results in a large amount of carbon deposits in the exhaust pipe, resulting in increased fuel consumption and black smoke.
The electrodes are prone to overheating and ablation, and the spark plugs are frequently damaged.
2. The gap is too small (less than 0.6mm)
The spark is short and weak, the mixture is difficult to fully ignite, the idle speed is unstable, and the engine stalls easily.
If the electrode temperature is low, gasoline and oil stains will easily accumulate, carbon will accumulate quickly, and the cylinder will be frequently flooded and unable to ignite.
Low speed, cold engine conditions are poor, and the engine cannot ignite even if it is slightly oily.
Incomplete combustion, reduced power, carbon deposits clogging the muffler, poor exhaust and stalling the engine.
